Apple is an adorable 4-month-old Lab/Shepherd mix puppy. She and her sister Peaches came to the Toledo Animal Shelter together. Their personalities couldn’t be more different. At first glance, Apple is a shy and demure little girl. She likes to stand back and observe social situations before she does anything. She’s also initially cautious in new surroundings but she quickly opens up and wants to get some lovin’. Once Apple feels comfortable, she is all puppy, playing, running, wagging and giving kisses.

Apple loves other dogs, as long as she is allowed to get to know them in her own time. Staff and volunteers at the shelter have been working with her on socialization skills, as well as basic manners, and Apple has blossomed. In a very short period of time, she's become much more outgoing. As she learns new things, her confidence is increasing. She knows she's doing well and she's proud of herself! Loving consistency in training Apple will be rewarded with a fantastic companion.
